Due to Credit Card Regulations, payment for On Demand transcripts can no longer be made in the Registrar’s Office. You must prepay and provide proof of payment.
Ordering Official Transcripts
Eastern Kentucky University uses the National Student Clearinghouse to process all official transcript requests (Mail, PDF, Exchange). This service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, allows you to track your order, and ensures the security of your information and payment. The cost is $12.25.
Expedited delivery is available through the National Student Clearinghouse.
You may track your transcript online at nslc.org using the tracking number you received in your confirmation email.
On Demand (Pick-up Only)
An on demand transcript request may be submitted in person at the Registrar's Office (Whitlock 239). The transcript request will be processed immediately so you can take the transcript with you. Please be sure to bring a picture ID with you. The cost is $15.
You must pre-pay for the transcript which you can do here: On Demand Transcript Payment. You must also complete the On Demand transcript request form before the transcript can be processed.
Please note that all On Demand transcripts will be issued to the student. There is no option to have the transcript mailed or issued to another party. If you require it to be mailed or issued to another, you must order through the National Student Clearinghouse.
EKU graduates who plan to work or further their education abroad may need to authenticate their degree(s) and transcripts. This process is referred to as an Apostille, which is the verification and legalization of a document for international use. Instructions for completing an Apostille Transcript Request are available on the Apostille Page.
Unofficial transcripts are available to current students through their EKUDirect student web account. Look for the link under the Student Records menu. **Unofficial transcripts do not include degrees or university certificates earned at EKU.
If There Are HOLDS On Your Record
Students who owe the university money or property (e.g. library books) may have holds placed on their record that will prevent the release of transcripts. Only the office that placed the hold (e.g. Student Accounting) can release the hold so the student should contact that office. Once the hold is released the student can submit their transcript request.
